How to buy a car on Encar from abroad
You can't buy on Encar directly from abroad: the platform expects a Korean phone number, local payment and in-person pickup. Buying through a representative is the established, transparent route — if you know its steps.
Step 1. Shortlist and verify
Pick 2–3 candidates and check each one's history: insurance report, inspection protocol, mileage records. More than half get eliminated here — that's normal. Our basic check is free: send the links, we return mini-reports.
Step 2. Physical inspection
Documents show history, not present condition. A representative in Korea visits the seller, films the car and runs a checklist before any money moves.
Step 3. Purchase and paperwork
The representative negotiates, signs the contract, pays, deregisters the car and prepares export documents. You receive contract and invoice copies.
Step 4. Shipping and customs
Carrier or container to the border/port, then to your city. Customs is calculated before the deal, not after the car reaches the border.
